Frequently Asked Questions

We've included a list of FAQs for a wide variety of categories.

How long does it take my ice maker to produce ice?

Brio ice-making coolers produce ice during the first hour of operation. Within roughly four hours, depending on the model, the ice chamber will be full, and production pauses automatically until more space becomes available. Approximately 24.6 pounds of ice can be produced daily. Refer to your manual for model-specific details.

How much storage capacity does my ice maker have?

Brio ice-making coolers can store up to 2.5 pounds of ice at a time. When the storage bin is full, the system pauses automatically and resumes when space becomes available.

Are loud noises normal for my ice maker?

Occasional humming or clicking sounds are totally normal. These sounds are part of the cooling, pumping, and ice-dispensing process. If the noise seems excessive, check your manual for troubleshooting steps.

What’s the difference between 3-stage and 4-stage reverse osmosis systems?

Both 3-stage and 4-stage reverse osmosis (RO) systems produce high-quality filtered water, but the 4-stage system includes an additional level of purification. In a 3-stage system, water passes through a PAC sediment filter (polypropylene and carbon) that removes sand, dirt, and other suspended solids and reduces chlorine. The water then moves through the RO membrane, which removes most contaminants, including dissolved solids such as lead and arsenic. Finally, the carbon rod filter provides a final polish by removing residual impurities, further improving the taste.

A 4-stage RO system is similar, but it adds an additional pre-carbon filter that removes chlorine, unpleasant tastes and odors, and VOCs. It also performs the final polish with a coconut carbon block filter to improve taste and odor. This post-filtration step enhances water clarity and helps eliminate any trace elements.

The main difference is the added layer of refinement. A 3-stage system is effective for most households, while a 4-stage system is ideal for those who want the cleanest, best-tasting water possible. Brio offers both systems to meet your water needs and preferences.
