Frequently Asked Questions

We've included a list of FAQs for a wide variety of categories.

How long should I wait for my ice maker to make ice?

When you plug in your water cooler and turn on the ice-making switch, it will take about an hour to dispense ice. Our ice makers take approximately four hours to fill the ice chamber completely. In a day, Brio ice makers can produce up to 24 lbs if your water bottle has sufficient water.

How much storage capacity does my ice maker have?

All our Brio ice makers can store over 2.5 lbs of ice on-demand as long as you’ve connected water bottles to the dispensers and they have sufficient water in them.

Is it normal for my ice maker to make loud noises?

No. A slight humming noise is normal — a loud, startling noise, such as knocking or screeching, isn’t. If you experience loud noises, it could be because you’ve placed the dispenser on an uneven surface, so the vibrations amplify its normal noise into a loud one. Your ice maker could also be making noise if it has ice jams. You can solve the loud noises by moving the ice maker to a level surface or dispensing all the ice to remove the jams.

What kind of ice does a water cooler make?

The ice from Brio coolers is clear, bullet-shaped, and melts slowly — perfect for drinks that need to stay cold. They make up to 24.6 pounds of ice per day, hold 2.5 pounds, and refill automatically.
