Brio's countertop water systems are dispensers built for kitchens, offices, or rentals where a full standup cooler or under sink install isn't an option. Countertop units come in two setups: POU models that hook into a nearby water line for continuous on-demand filtration, and refillable-tank models with a top-fill reservoir you pour water into as needed — no plumbing hookup required. Either way, there's no bottle to lift, store, or schedule for delivery, just a compact footprint that sits on the counter and plugs in.
Filtration is where the countertop lineup really spans a range, since Brio builds these units from entry-level taste-and-odor filtration up through full contaminant reduction. Base countertop models use 2-stage or 3-stage sediment and carbon block filtration, certified to NSF/ANSI 42 for chlorine taste and odor reduction. Step-up models add ultrafiltration, with a finer membrane that reduces bacteria, cysts, and sediment beyond what carbon alone can catch. At the top of the countertop range, Brio's reverse osmosis countertop systems use a semipermeable RO membrane to reduce lead, arsenic, fluoride, PFAS, nitrates, chlorine, volatile organic compounds, and total dissolved solids, certified to NSF/ANSI 53 (health-effect contaminant reduction) and 58 (RO system performance), with NSF/ANSI 372 confirming lead-free construction — the same certified level of protection as Brio's under sink RO systems, without any installation.
Beyond filtration, select countertop systems add sparkling water capability, carbonating filtered water on demand so households can skip canned or bottled sparkling water altogether. Other countertop models are available with Tri-Temp dispensing (hot, cold, and room-temperature water), child safety locks, self-cleaning UV or ozone technology, and digital or LED control panels — though feature sets vary by model, so it's worth matching the unit to what actually matters most day to day.
