How To Install A Brio Bottleless Water Cooler

Brio’s bottleless water coolers are a convenient solution for accessing a constant stream of drinking water in your home or office. They allow you to offer fresh, clean water to your family or guests without ever having to worry about running low on water or refilling water gallons.

More and more people are leaning towards a bottleless water filtration system but are nervous about the installation process, which requires the cooler to be connected to a water supply. However, the need for a plumber or a specialist is not all that necessary. Brio includes all you need for a headache-free installation.

How To Install A Brio Bottleless Water Cooler

How to install your bottleless water cooler

Installing a bottleless dispenser can be initially daunting, but when you truly take a look at the steps, it is incredibly simple. A Brio Bottleless Dispenser includes all necessary tools to guide you through the installation process, making it a painless experience. You can also find the user manual on the product listing page online.

  1. Before removing the cooler from the box, choose a prime location to place the cooler that is between a water line and an outlet. Once the space has been cleared and the waterline turned off, you can begin the process of connecting a waterline.
  2. Ensure that the water dispenser will be on a leveled, hard surface near a grounded wall outlet. [DO NOT plug in the power chord till after the entire installation is complete]
  3. Disconnect the current cold water supply and install the included T-shaped Feed Water Adapter. When the adapter has been placed, simply connect the cold water supply to the top of the adapter and the water dispensing line to the quick connecting piece. [DO NOT connect to hot waterline, the hot water will damage filters]
  4. Ensure that the connections are secure to the cold waterline by gently tugging on the lines.
  5. When all connections have been secured, turn on the waterline and then turn on the unit. The water dispenser will begin to pump water through the filtration system and store the clean water in stainless steel reservoirs.

How to install a reverse osmosis filtration system

Installing a reverse osmosis filtration system, whether a dispenser or undersink system, involves many of the same steps as other filtration systems with the addition of a drain line. The drain line (or wastewater line) removes rejected water created in the reverse osmosis process.

For step-by-step installation instructions follow the user manual associated with your cooler, which is located on the product listing page. Here’s a quick overview of what you will need/do:

  1. Gather the necessary tools to complete the installation process.
  2. Connect the cold water supply.
  3. Insert shut-off valve tube.
  4. Locate the drain line underneath the sink (of wherever else it may be located).
  5. Ensure that the drain saddle is placed on the P-trap or on a straight vertical/ horizontal section of the drain line [DO NOT place where the drain pipe meets a garbage disposal or dishwasher drain.
  6. Drill a hole on one side of the drain line.
  7. Mount the drain saddle and align the holes.
  8. Tighten the saddle on the line and connect the wastewater line.
  9. Flush and install the filters.
  10.  Plug in water cooler, flip cooling and heating switches “on”, and dispense!
