Filtering contaminants and impurities
Brio provides premium filter cartridges that remove countless contaminants commonly found in tap water, such as sediment, chemicals, and an endless list of organic and non-organic impurities.
Tap water is transformed into a premium hydrating experience that is free from most chlorine tastes and odd odors. While the filters are long-lasting, they naturally don't last forever.
How often should I change my water filter?
We recommend replacing your filters every six to eight months. We base this recommendation on usage, which determines the cartridge lifespan. Whether you should replace your filters at six or eight months is determined by how much you use it.
If your cooler is located in a business center or office, where employees and customers use it, the filters should be ideally replaced every six months to ensure the quality of the water is maintained.

What happens if I don’t change my water filter?
Not changing your water filter can prevent it from functioning at optimum capacity. Instead of being able to successfully filter contaminants in your water supply, they can become hosts for bacteria. The results:
- Unfiltered water - your filter becomes much more ineffective at removing the impurities you never wanted to be there in the first place
- Contaminant build-up - where sediment can build up past the recommended level
- A potential decline in water pressure
- A rise in microbe, chemical and mineral levels
Signs you should change your water filters
Keeping track of the lifespan of your water filters can be troublesome without obvious signs that your cooler needs maintenance. However, we're using technology to track the lifespan of your filters for you.
We've developed the Filter Replacement Indicator Light, which makes it very easy to know when your cooler requires filter replacements. Located on the display panel of select coolers, the light comes on towards the end of the cartridge lifespan.
