St Patrick's Day has evolved over the years to become a proper celebratory event all over the world. And there's no need to be Irish to get stuck in. Going Green For St Patty's Day

The colour or the environment? Both! St Patricks Day can be an opportunity to teach children how to play their part in caring for the environment. Conserving water and electricity, walking instead of using the car, planting seeds, composting food waste - all ideas to help your kids think about the world around them.

But there's also green-coloured cupcakes, green face-paints, green vegetables and of course, landmarks all over the world lit up green: Sydney Opera House, Niagara Falls, the Empire State Building, Irish Parliament Building. And of course, the Chicago River - dyed green once a year to commemorate St Patrick's Day.

Leprechaun Drink Recipe

The natural sugars in the apple and kiwi slices are what give this tasty drink a lightly sweet flavor without any unhealthy sugar. In fact, you could take almost any of your favorite green fruits and add them to filtered water for a delicious boost of flavor.

Apples and kiwis are full of nutrients like vitamin C, vitamin E, and potassium. Studies show that these fruits can aid in weight loss, improve vision, and even help fight asthma. A splash of lime juice is rich with magnesium and calcium, which strengthens your immune system and contributes to glowing skin health. Plus, the fruits provide that festive green coloring too! It’s so good, you could follow a rainbow and find this fruit-infused water recipe at the end of it!
